The Sweetest Thing:
The song originally appeared as a b-side for Where The Streets Have No Name, and was written for Ali as a birthday present. (Her birthday is March 23 1960 - not sure about the year) Apparently Bono didnīt have time to celebrate it with her, so he wrote her a song. It was re-recorded and released in 1998, and all U2īs royalties from the single went to the Children of Chernobyl organisation. Apart from The Chernobyl organisation, Ali is also spokeswoman for the Shut Down Sellafield Campaign.
